Such A Crap		is: Omnus - vocals HM Fink - keyboards EA Fink - xylophone << We had the idea for the soundproject CON TAKT during our art exhibition, which took place in a printery in Cologne. The atmospheric contrast between the technical equipment and our artwork, Surrealism to Pop Art, did fascinate us so much, that we decided to prepare a musical program for the finissage, which should deal with that subject. Our first inspiration were the rhythmical noises, which produced the machines of the printery. These accompanied the exhibition, because the printing works continued during the opening hours. As basic instruments we chose a drum computer and the keyboard, but to complete the tensional contrast between the analogic and the digital, we composed melodies, which make think of elements of lounge-music or bar songs and mixed them with New Wave sounds of the eighties and the sensible sounds of the xylophone. The lyrics consist of short phrases and bits of words , which are mounted like a collage to create a special ambiance and give the opportunity to play with phonetics.>> The very positive response to the songs, originally produced just to accompany the exhibition, ZWEI VOR HEIDELBERG, PrePrintPartners, Köln 2003, motivated the artists to produce this CD. The 13 arrangements of the CD were created between october 2003 and may 2004.
